It's always fun to watch a campus movie and when middle-aged actors like Jayaram, Manoj K Jayan, Biju Menon and Kunjako Boban play college boy roles, there must be something interesting in it. 

As the tag line suggest 'back to college', Seniors is all about the yesteryear senior students who come back to college to continue their PG course which was left in between because of a murder. What follows is the typical campus enjoyment stuff which you would expect but there is a suspense element also.

There are some sequences and characters which has been lifted from Classmates and 2 Harihara Nagar, still Seniors is a well-made entertainer and there is never a boring moment during the two and half hours running time of movie.

Sachi- Sethu made their entry to filmdom in a campus movie 'Chocolates' and tasted huge success, but since then they were not able to deliver such an engaging screenplay and their latest Vishu flick 'Doubles' turned out to be a disaster. Finally they had to come up with another campus stuff to silence the critics and prove their caliber. Above all, they got an energetic director Vyshak(PokkiriRaja fame) who made the movie at such a fast pace and does not give a second for the viewers to think anything else.

All the four lead characters got almost an equal importance but one has to pick Biju Menon as the show stealer who came up with some terrific one-liners. Jayaram performed what was expected from him and Manoj K Jayan handled the humor part well. Kunjako Boban seemed to be a miscast because of the age-factor of others, but suited the role well. The female characters including Padmapriya, Meera Nandan got limited screen space while Ananya had a good role to play. Siddique, Jagathy and Vijayaraghavan were as usual in their supporting roles but Suraj was a let down with his repetitive act.

Well, there were only few negatives that can be counted in such an entertainer and it is none other than item song which was a speed breaker. Songs could have been better but Gopi Sundar's BGM simply stands out as one the main positives. Overall, Seniors is a perfect entertainer which will go do well in the holiday season.
