The difference between old generation Malayalam filmmakers and new generation is noticeable. The new invention moviemakers though take in techniques from the west, won’t forget the root and our culture, which when blends bring in an entirely unique product.

The story of the film is focusing on the role of chances in the life of most of the people. The theme of the movie is that life will have a second chance and that everyone will get at least two chances for everything in life. It is to the credit of screenplay writers that they allow the characters to cultivate, but sometimes one feels that the emphasis on characterization is at the expense of the plot.

The riveting performances of the three lead actors in the film see to it that the blows and bangs that it delivers are right on place. Dulakr Salman is impressive in a role as Lalu the village guy. Sunny, who makes his debut, as Kurudi and Baburaj are good to watch. Debutante Gauthami Nair is ok . The idea of the director is to unusual effort for the audience and he has been able to achieve that to a very large extent.

After Salt and Pepper & Chappa Kurish which was another new generation flick, Second Show will bring young audience to theatre. This shows the rush of new blood into Malayalam industry, who appreciate global films and celebrate its aesthetics.

Second Show is the film for movie buffs which redefine the traditional traits of a thriller. It will surely be a picture that will be appreciated and idolized by viewers for its inspired elegance, extensive performances and technical brilliance.
