This Vishu will see Mammootty in Pramani as Viswanatha Panicker, a corrupt panchayat president of Thazheppadam village.Sneha plays the heroine in Pramani. Her role is that of Janaki, the panchayat secretary who exposes the corruption Pramaani movie tells the story of two villages. One village was under the control of Viswanatha Panicker (Mammootty) and other was under Castro Vareethu. Viswanatha Panicker is the Panchayat president since 25 years. He has acquired immense wealth with the position. He has got many deeds of lands pledged by the poor people in the village.

But Castro Vareethu was totally different. He was a communist and wanted his villagers to live peacefully. Viswanatha Panicker did all sort of mischief against Vareethu. Meanwhile, a lady took charge as Panchayat secretary (Sneha). She tried to expose panicker's corruption.

Tamil actor-producer Prabhu, son of legendary Tamil thespian Sivaji Ganesan, will do a cameo in Malayalam superstar Mammootty's new film Pramani, being directed by B. Unnikrishnan.After Thuruppu Gulan and forthcoming Vandemataram, this is the third film in which Sneha is pairing with Mammootty. She plays a Panchayat Secretary who accidentally starts playing a crucial role in the life of Viswanatha Paniker. Director Fazil's son Fahad Fazil plays a very important role.The film which is scripted by director B. Unnikrishnan, himselves has Siddiq, Jagathy, Innocent, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Salim Kumar and Nedumudi Venu in key roles.

Produced by B C Joshy, the producer of super hit Madambi; the film is expected to be finished in one schedule. The film is a Surya Cinema Production. Producer plans to get release on March 26.
