‘Happy Husbands’ – Saji Surendran's second attempt , is making waves as it is receiving the same overwhelming responses from all over the state. This refreshing, comedy fun film, directed by Saji Surendran and written by Krishna Poojapura, also features Jayaram, Jayasury, Indrajith, Sandhya and Bhavana in the lead.
'Chattampi Nadu' - Mammootty’s Mass film is continuing with its success ride even in the fourth week with steady collections. The film, already a big hit, has reached break even point and has started making profits for its distributors. The weekend shows register hundred percent collections all over the state, while the week days are registering 50-70 percent collections.
'Ividam Swargamanu' - Director Roshan Andrews with another outing with Mohanlal doesn’t prove to be a winner. The movie just continues in the theatres with around 40 percent collections in major centers. The film in its fifth week doesn’t even collect like average Mohanlal flick. But collections are better in weekend from bigger cities where the family audiences are supporting the movie.
'Gulumaal' - Director V.K.Prakash seems to be in gain again, directing a fun film with jayasurya and Kunchakko Boban in the comedy backdrop. The film which may not be a big hit, but will survive enough to become a break even.
'Pazhassi Raja' - Hariharan’s historical film still maintains its audience pull at 30-40percent in major centers, where it is entering 100 days.

After a few months of chart toppers, that essentially was a star film, this week end witnesses a brand new film with younger stars on top. Saji Surendran's ‘Happy Husbands’ starring Jayaram and Jayasury has made surprising initials and is on first spot in the very second week of its release. The top five Malayalam films of the weekend are:
