Weekend top five

With no other big releases for the week, Vineeth Sreenivasan directed 'Malarvadi Arts Clubs' continues to capture the top slop of the top five lists. The current favorites in the list are:










1.Malarvaadi Arts Club- All the team members in the cast including younger talents has become the favorites of the masses, as the film has made a share of more than a crore from its 12 day run. With no competitions ahead in the next few weeks, from any new releases, the film is destined to become a big hit.

2.'Sakudumbam Shyamala - The movie which is really blessed with the bad reviews of ‘Oru Naal Varum’ is 'Sakudumbam Shyamala' which still has a steady audience in the metros and other cities. The movie in its third week continues in 35 centers across kerala. The intense marketing and the songs in the chart top lists has helped the movie to maintain its collections.

3.'Apoorva ragam- At number 3 is Sibimalayil's movie, 'Apoorva ragam' set in the backdrop of campus. The movie averaged around forty percent collections in metros and bigger centers. ‘Apoorvaragam' is expected to survive the biggies that will arrive for the Ramzan season, next week.

4. Penpattanam - ‘Penpattanam’ fails to keep its going and survives with lesser takers in major centers. In the metros and cities, the movie is faring very well even though that cannot be said about other lesser centers. But the movie by V M Vinu may continue in theatres at least till the arrival of Onam flicks.

5. Oru Naal Varum - This Sreenivasan scripted film continues in the slot due to default, as no other films in theatres is promising enough to engage people.Mohanlal will have to wait for still another movie to realize that long elusive super hit.

The last week  release ‘Thasakara Lehala',  fared so badly  in the box office that even on day one, some of the theatres didn't got enough viewers for  some shows and was declared hold over. Also in the theatres are Sureshgopi's ‘Rama Ravanan ' which continues few stations at the capital city. Mammootty starrer Pokkiri Raja is still in the rounds with average viewership. The movie will reach hundred days this week
