Even though a few new releases Anwar and Cocktail arrived last week, they couldn't dislodge the Rajanikanth starrer Yenthiran from the top spot.









1. Yenthiran: The film was the biggest talk and the biggest event in Kerala this month. As expected, the film made a big opening with 100 percent in the first few weeks and is surviving at the top even in its 25th day. The biggest movie of our times is collecting at 60 percent in cities, but the rage it created in the opening weeks have died out. The film has already made collections of more than 11 crores from the state itself, in an around a month.

2.  ‘Anwar’ - This Prithivi starrer remains the weakest in collections, while entering its third week. Though the film has been removed from about half of the release centers, the fantastic one week opening, and big release strategy has paid off. The movie managed to end up as an average earner only due to its release hypes.

3. ‘Elsamma Enna Aankutty’ - Laljose’s family movie continues in 15 release centers with encouraging collections. This clean family entertainer registered its biggest return in the Pooja Holydays week, but again fell to 40-50 percent in big centers, all through the week. The movie has already made two times the profit than the investment made on it.

4. ‘Pranchiyetten and the Saint’ - Mammootty's latest hit ' Pranchiyetten ' is in its 50 days. The movie continues to bring in viewers in around 15 release centers, of which 9 are regular shows. The movie has got strong collections in majority of the metro stations.

5. 'Shikkar' - The movie didn't collect as expected, but will end the long drought of an Average flick by the first week initial collections. Shikkar continues in select theaters in the major cities.

Also in the theatres are Kunchakko Boban's ‘Oridathoru Postman' which continues in a lone station at the capital city. Allu Arjun's ‘Khiladi', Surehgopi's ‘Sadgamaya’, Indrajith's ‘Chekavar' and  ‘Arundhathi’ are also in select centers.
