
‘Shikkar’ top the chart

Mohanlal latest film 'Shikkar' which was released a couple of weeks before, instantly captured the top slot with encouraging opening days collections. The top five movies of the weekend are:

1. ‘Shikkar’ - Mohanlal becomes Balaraman, a typical lorry driver in the film directed by Padmakumar. The film had the amazing share 1.75crore all through the first seven days, as this Mohanlal stereotype has always been his best. Even though the film is termed to portray Mohanlal's typed mass character, the initial itself may help the film to secure the top slot of the week.
2. ‘Pranchiyetten and the saint’ – At number 2 is Renjith's new movie, set in the backdrop of trissure with remarkable performance by mammootty. The movie around hundred percent collections in most of centers. But the overall pacing of feel good entertainer may help it to survive for quite a few weeks. It is a matter to see, how long the movie can stay at the tops.
3.'Elasamma Enna Aankutty'– This laljose film took very extra ordinary opening, and is least expected to become a winner. With good word of mouth and wide release tactics, this Kunchakko Boban– Indrajith- starrer is expected to end up as a profit maker.
4. ‘Malarvaadi’ - This film directed by Vinneth Sreenivasan, still is a part in the major cities now celebrating more than 75 days on select release centres.
5. ' Yakshium Njanum' - Vinayans's new movie, released in onam season with out competition, continues with its weak run .By the end the fourth week, the movie stands removed from all most of centers. It still finds a place because; no other films are there in the competition.
