Mohanlal's 'Shikkar' opened to big audiences as expected. The movie was released in 100 Screens across Kerala to grab the maximum from the initials.

The movie started its shows before ten at many centers with the typical Mohanlal opening, all over. The movie is widely applauded and is opined as a very good family entertainer.As the director of the movie Padmakumar rightly said, the movie is a soft entertainer which has something different for Lal within his image.
