The present week saw the arrival of Manirathnam’'s magnum opus 'Ravanan’' made in a budget of 80 crores, into the release centers of Kerala. 'Ravanan' opens at the second position while Mammootty's 'Pokkiri Raja' continues on the top of the list. The top five films of the weekend are: 

1. 'Pokkiri Raja' - The film which opened 40days before still continues in all 40 plus centers with good collections. The initial collections are amazing, all across Kerala. The punch lines scripted by Udayakrishna-Sibi K Thomas and stylish sequences with Mammootty, donning the don after a couple of years is said to be reasons for the consistent collections that the film is fetching. 'Pokkiri Raja’ is already declared as a ‘Blockbuster’ among filmy circles.

2. ‘Ravan' - After 'Guru' it is now the turn of Ravanan to bring back the youth audience to theatres. The film with a fresh visuals beauty and cast seems to be an instant hit, with good word of mouth. In the coming weeks, Ravanan is sure to pose threats to ‘Pokkiri Raja’ for the top spot.



3. 'Mummy&Me' - The forth weekend collection of the film is still encouraging, with more than fifty percent   collections, more of family audiences, in the major centers. In lesser stations, the film has already moved out for other releases.




4. ‘Kadha Thudarunnu’ - Director Sathyan with another outing with Jayaram doesn’t prove to be a winner. The movie just continues in the theatres with around 40 percent collections in major centers.



5. 'Pappy Appacha' - This Dileep starrer is till maintaining its collection graphs. The film hasn't taken a fall with the arrival of big blockbusters and is making an inflow of more than forty percent collection in major centers .The film reached fifty days last week in more than fifteen centers, making it one of the super hit of this year..
