'Pokkiri ' starts to rules the kerala Box office

The arrival of ‘Pokkiri Raja ’ has deterred the prospects of every other films in the theatres, especially Malayalam films. The movie is undoubtedly the clear favourite among masses without any negative word of mouth. The top five list of the weekend are.

Mohanlal-Familyman1.'Pokkiri Raja': It's ‘Pokkiri ’ Mania everywhere. One of the biggest release  in Mollywood, ‘Pokkiri Raja ' is keeping its spirits high with good initial collections and good word of mouth. Grossing around five and half crores in just seven days is not a small thing for a Malayalam cinema. In many of the metros the film is being shown in three centers while five towns have the movie in two centers. The movie is currently entertaining packed houses in around 111 Screens.

Mohanlal-Familyman2. 'Kadha Thudarunnu':Director Sathyan and Jayaram join hands with several time, but this time the results are not much to lap up. The film took very average opening than other Sathyan films but the overall pacing of this family action-thriller may help it to survive for quite a few weeks. If marketed well the film may prove to become a winner.

Mohanlal-Familyman3.'Pappy Appacha':The Dileep - Kavya movie has already become a hit and is a profit maker. The movie didn't collect as expected, but will end the long drought of a hit. Pappy Appacha continues in select theaters in the major cities. The weekend registers good collections due to family audiences, in metros.

'Alexander the Great':Mohanlal's movie 'Alexander' - which had a delayed release, is a dud from the day two. The movie won't help in any way in boosting the audience friendly image of the actor. The fans, on the other hand seem to have once again given thumbs down sign, to the hero image of lal..


Mohanlal-Familyman5.In Ghost House Inn ':'This comedy entertainer may end up as Super Hit Status, but for its production costs. The movie continues with 40 percent collections in select centers.


‘Janakan’, ‘Pramani’ and ‘Thanthonni’ are the other Malayalam movies that continue in a few releasing centers. Apart from these movies, a few Tamil releases has made into theatres this week.
