Paleri Manikkam Kicked Off

The crime thriller Paleri Manikkam directed by Ranjith with Mammootty in the lead has been kicked off its shoot at Calicut. Mammootty will be seen again in a double role after his fantasy comic movie 'Ee Pattanathil Bhootham' which was released on the last week. Mammootty acts as a CBI officer who comes from Delhi to re-investigate a murder case which had occurred in the mid of the last century. At the same time he appears as a Muslim landlord lived in the same period and is connected with crime.

The movie is based on a short story by T P Rajeevan which was published in Mathrbumi weekly in the mid of last century. Director himself scripting for the movie and produced by A V Anoop and Maha Subair under the banner of Varnachithra and Varnachithra itself will be releasing the movie. Mammootty joined the set of Manikkam after completing his 'Loud Speaker', another family comic movie directed by Jayaraj. Apart from Mammootty, Sreenivasan, Vijayaraghavan, Siddique and many theatre artists also can be seen in the key roles in the movie.
