Mohanlal’s latest film 'Oru Nall Varum' which was released a couple of days before, instantly captured the top slot with encouraging opening days collections. The top five movies of the weekend are:

1. 'Oru Naal Varum' - This new movie from Mohanlal-Sreenivasan combo rules the KBO with an impressive opening grossing around a 1.65 crore from its initial couple of days. Being shown in 70 centers in the state, ‘Oru Naal Varum’ is way ahead of all other films and is an assured hit, if it can hold on for another couple of weeks.

2.’Pokkiri Raja’- All the big  news  that surrounded the movie during its release  has now  subsided as the movie is heading towards its 75days in less than ten centers. The marketing of the film is the prime reason for the film's huge success. By opening in B & C stations, it has boosted collections. ‘Pokkiri Raja’, is already proclaimed as a Blockbuster, by the trade.

3.'Mummy&Me' - The Kunchakko Boban – Archana kavi movie has already become a hit and is a profit maker. 'Mummy&Me’ continues in select theaters in the major cities with good weekend collections.

4.'Nallavan' - Jayasury’s new avatar in the lead couldn't fetch a good opening. The movie will just act as filler in the release centers till the arrival of the biggies.

5. 'Ravanan' - ‘Ravanan’ fails to keep its going and survives with lesser takers in major centers. Manirathanm will have to wait for still another movie to realize that long elusive super hit.

Also in the theaters are the early releases of the year like 'Pappy Appacha', 'Inn Ghosthouse in' and 'kadha Thudarunnu'. The first two are already declared as big hits while the last one starring Jayaram managed to become an average earner, mainly due to the impressive initial collections.
