Onam, the biggest season for films in Malluwood is proving to be a dismal fare as many films released finds it tough to attract the masses.

Plus two which arrived early into the fray was the first one to be ruled out of the race with its less interesting plot. But the biggest letdown came in the form of Vinayan’s Yashiyum Njanum which carried heavy expectations. The film is now stated as a no starter as the film buffs finds it difficult to appreciate the black horror depicted in the flick.

Rajeev Anchal's slow paced film Pattinte Palazi with Mera jasmine and Manoj K Jayan in the lead which carried above average report with good songs still need to find crowds. The long run of the film depends on the fate of the other flicks that are to reach the releases coming weeks. Meanwhile small banner films like ‘Neelambari’ and ‘Athmakadha’ are finding it very hard to get the audience to run at least a couple of shows, a day.

Apoorvaragam which was in the theatres from July 16 continuous with less collection in a few major centers, as most of the prints has stared the run as Onam film in B centes.

Malarvaadi Arts Club which arrived one month back is still the earner and is expected to be the final winner as the dismal fate of the Onam releases continues and not much is in the store for a surprise.
