Mohanlal's new venture 'JANAKAN' shooting is progressing at Vandannoor. The movie scripted by S.N.Swami directed by debutant N.R.Sanjeev will feature Lal as a Advocate Suryanarayanan and Suresh Gopi plays a villager Viswanathan while Kaveri come in as the heroine of the Suresh Gopi for the first time, on screen. Also in the cast are Sampath, Jagathi, Harisree Asokan, Vijayaraghavan, Ganesh Kumar, Vijayakumar, Jyothirmayi, Ranjita Menon,etc

The music department of the movie will be handled by M Jayachandran who will set the tunes to lyrics by Giresh Puthenchery and Vayalar Sharath. The film produced by Arun in the banner of Line of Colors is being distributed by Maxlab Films
