‘Doubles’ duck out

It was predicted by some trade pundits, but none suggested that it will be harsher to this extent. The latest bad news gripping the industry is that Mammootty's ‘Doubles’ has crashed terribly at the Box office and is declared a holdover from the day five at many centres. The movie couldn't stand up to the great interest that Keralites is presently pouring on to the other big movie on theatres ‘ChinaTown’. Many feel sorry for the director Sohan Seenu Lal who has not made a bad film, but couldn't save it from a release at the most inappropriate time.

With the big list of films that are to grace theatres next week, ‘Doubles’ with its present state of collections will clear off the major centres in a maximum of five weeks. The movie is one of the biggest ever failures from Mammootty in recent times, only after to ‘Dhrona’, which came out last year.
