Seven Malayalam films at IFFI

Seven Malayalam feature films have been selected in the Indian Panorama section for the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), commencing in Goa from November 22.

In all, 25 feature films have been selected in this section.

The Malayalam films selected in this year's Panorama include Adoor Gopalakrishnan's 'Oru Pennum Randu Aanum', K P Kumaran's 'Kashagopuram', M G Sasi's 'Adayalangal', Jayraj's 'Gulmohar', Mohanan's 'Kadhaparayumbol', Priyanandanan's 'Pulijanmam' and T V Chandran's 'Vilaapangalkkappuram', a government press release said.

Malayalam films have its representation in the non-feature films section also.

Out of 21 films in this category, two are Malayalam films.

These are 'Memories, Movement and a Machine' by K R Manoj and 'Vellappokkathil' by Jayaraj.
