Johney Antoney is definitely one among the top list of directors with high success rate in Malayalam.He has 'Thuruppugulan','CID Moosa', 'Kochirajavu' etc as big hits in his credit.Apart form mass movies,he has done 'Cycle' with Vinu Mohan and Vineeth Srinivasan in the lead role, which were differentfrom his earlier flicks.He is taking a short break after his latest film 'Ee Pattanathil Bhootham' and speaks exclusively to us about his future plans.

Are you enjoying a break after 'Ee Pattanathil Bhootham'?

Answer -Yes, I always spend some time to analyze the last project and plan for the next, after every film.Doing the same after 'Ee Pattanathil Bhotham'.

Was 'Bhootham' a hit?

Answer   - No, It was not a hit as we expected. it made a 40 L loss to the producer.

'Bhootham' was a different attempt from your side.It was made for children and they have enjoyed the film.Still what may be the reason for the poor box office result for the film?

Answer- Yes, it was made for children and they have enjoyed it very well. The main reason for the poor box office performance was the releasing date. We would have released it during the summer vacation.

You are one of the hit makers in Malluwood. But there are not much new announcements of new films from your side unlike some of the other directors. Why?

Answer - I am not interested in announcing any project in it's very early stages.For me, doing it is not going to make any positive impact to the film or the director.

There are rumors about the second part of your hit movie CID Moosa. When are you planning for the same?

Answer - Not immediately. It may happen in 2013.

What about your project with new faces?

Answer- Currently I am working on that. This is going to be my next project. It will start in the month of January as per the current plan.It is going to be a different film in all the aspects.

It is heard that you are going to direct another movie with Mammootty.Any update on that?

Answer - Yes,I will do that after my next project with new faces. Sindhuraj will be the script writer for my next film with Mammootty. Mammootty plays a down to earth and humorous character in the film.Also there will be one strong female character throughout the film.
